Guided by Faith, Rooted in Wellness

My Story
My journey into health and wellness began during a deeply challenging wilderness season of my life. In my early 20s, I found myself in unhealthy relationships, poor dietary habits, and an unsustainable lifestyle. I suffered from painful cycles that often landed me in the emergency room, ulcers, skin issues, and emotional volatility.
It wasn’t until I found my Lord and Savior that my perspective—and my life—began to change. As I started walking in the truth of scripture, I began to see my worth as a daughter of the King.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
These words stirred my soul and I realized that to honor God, I needed to care for my body, His temple. This revelation marked the start of my wellness journey, but I was still unsure what true health looked like.
A Turning Point
After years of struggling with infertility and exhausting conventional medical options, I encountered a naturopathic doctor (thank you, Dr. K.N.) who changed everything. She taught me that health isn’t about gimmicks or fleeting trends but about holistic balance: what we eat, how we move, how we rest, and how we nourish our spirits. The simple, intentional choices we make daily have a profound impact on our overall well-being.
By God’s grace, my wellness journey led to the greatest blessings of my life: two amazing children who keep me grounded, joyful, and motivated to grow every day. Together with my wonderful husband, we’re blessed to live on a beautiful ranch in New Mexico, where I wake up each day to the glory of God’s creation.
Why I Do What I Do
My family is my inspiration, and through them, I’ve discovered the importance of true nourishment, both spiritually and physically. I had very difficult postpartum season after the birth of our second child. I was depleted mentally, physically and spiritually. My son seemed to struggle from the beginning just very discontented, crying excessively, there was something going on but I could never pin point it.
I started looking for any answers or help and was researching and listening to podcasts, the topic of grounding kept coming up and after another sleepless night I went out and placed our son on the grass in morning and for the first time I felt like his little body was relaxed and he was comfortable. This became our new morning routine. Again, we faced challenges with him, he could not eat any solid food that we fed him, we did everything the conventional doctors were telling us, the cereals, the pureed fruits, he could not eat. I was exhausted from nursing, he wasn’t getting enough nutrients and was falling off the growth curve again.
By chance I found the book, The Nourishing Traditions Book of Baby and Child Care, everything in that book made so much sense and was just shocked at how much our society has strayed from traditional food values that nourish on a deep level. I prepared my son warm egg yolks and at 9 months he eagerly ate food for the first time. I continued following the wisdom that book offered and my son started thriving. It was at this point that I really wanted to learn and share with everyone wisdom that I had found and decided to pursue a career in nutritional therapy. I started school at the Nutritional Therapy Association and received a certificate to practice as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I added additional training that emphasizes a faith based approach to health with the School of Christian Health and Nutrition to become a Christian Health Practitioner. I delight in preparing traditional, nutrient-dense meals and sharing this journey of learning and growth with my children. Each day, I strive to deepen my relationship with the Lord and understand His purpose for my life.
I am still on my own evolving wellness journey, and I want to walk alongside others on theirs. My passion is to teach how simple health can be when we focus on the firm foundation of our faith in Christ and the foundational elements of health: faith, nutrition, sleep, digestion, stress management, and blood sugar regulation.
